Help Bree through her medical mystery
My sister Bree has been struggling with what still remains to be a medical mystery. She is a mama to twins (almost 2yrs old) and hasn’t had feeling in her legs for 11 days (as of 2/4 when this was created) and numb/frozen feet. She’s unable to walk or care for her children and has now run out of paid time off at work as a nurse at CHOC (& now has the added stress of worrying about her career position and employment as well as financial strain of not having her income).
She was admitted to the hospital last week for three days (many MRIs, CT scans, Blood work, lumbar puncture test).. she was sent home and continued to digress and has not had relief. She was re-admitted to the hospital yesterday and more MRIs with contrast were taken and still no answers. She is trying to get in with a neurologist, and in the process of finding a new rheumatologist and we are waiting for the results of her lumbar puncture to return.
what we do know: she has lupus, hashimotos, fibromyalgia.
what we are waiting to know: if she has MS or guillain barre...
we don’t know when Bree will recover and in the meantime it would bless her tremendously and help her to not stress about finances, if you have the means to help.. no amount is too small and we are so grateful for each one of you. If you don’t have the means (I understand everyone is in a different boat with covid times) PLEASE keep her in your prayers.
It will be her 30th birthday on 2/18.
