Hello there, my name is Bree! I'm a transgender woman from upstate New York!
I am disabled and have been for over 10 years as a result of long undetected lyme disease and fibromyalgia, seeking federal disability for the last 8 years; in spite of this, I still very much need to work what accessible job I can in order to make ends meet, doordash in my case.
I have recently had very limited access to my vehicle while dealing with over a month long nightmare in mechanical troubles amounting in $1900 of repairs, something that completely wiped me of any and all finances, in addition to lost income for all of the time spent off the road.
Today, my power was unexpectedly disconnected without any posted notice from NYSEG and I now find myself with the dilemma of having no reliable source of charge for my phone, prohibiting me from being able to doordash, my only reliable source of income.
I have my third disability hearing with a federal judge come next month, something that may very well have a future impact, but until that time comes, my car and my phone together are how I sustain myself. Lose either of them (in this case my phone and the ability to consistently charge it) and that becomes no longer possible.
Any assistance in closing the gap and having my power restored, enabling me to return to work at least until social security returns a decision, would mean so very much to me.
No kindness would go unappreciated!!!
