Help Breathe New Life Into Haydn Harris

My name is Harriet Agen. My husband, Greg, and I, have dear friends, whose only child, Haydn Harris, is in the fight of his life. As parents ourselves, we are broken for them as they watch their son struggle. We want to help lighten that load by asking for financial assistance for Haydn and his family.

 

Haydn Harris is the 28 year old son of Yvette and Todd Harris. Haydn grew up in Macon, attended Tattnall Square Academy, and works for the Monroe County School System.

 

Currently, Haydn is a patient at Navicent Atrium Hospital in Macon GA. He tested positive for the COVID virus, in mid August, and it quickly transformed into a severe case of SARS-CoV-2 Pneumonia, forcing him into Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. He has been ventilated and on an ECMO machine since August 26th. His lungs are severely damaged and he will most likely require a lung transplant. He's a good candidate for the procedure and Emory Hospital, in Atlanta, has agreed to take him. He is fighting hard to reach a point where he can be transferred to Emory for further evaluation and a lung transplant procedure, if required. Haydn could easily be hospitalized for months. Monies donated will be used to assist Haydn with the exorbitant cost of his treatment, and to help with lodging and related expenses, so that his parents, Todd and Yvette, can be by his side for the duration of his treatment and recovery. We are grateful for your consideration.

 

A Facebook group, Haydn's Prayer Warriors, has been set up to allow Haydn's parents to share progress. This group page has been a source of strength for Haydn's family. So many people are pulling for Haydn's healing. There are hundreds of people from all over, praying for Haydn, his medical team and his parents.
