My name is Breanna, and my heart is heavy.

One of the most loving, selfless women I’ve ever known—my Aunt Joy. Joy is a single mom of six, a grandma to two, and she’s still trying to be strong for everyone. She was driving four hours every day for chemo and radiation, all while trying to keep things together at home. But it’s getting to be too much.

She didn’t want anyone to start a GoFundMe—because that’s just who she is. She refuses to ask for help. But we can’t just sit back and watch her struggle. She needs us now. —She’s been hit with a storm of health issues— She started with vulva and cervical cancer that has spread into metastatic cancer along with her lupus on top of all of that . And as if that wasn’t enough, her treatments are being complicated by her other conditions. She’s had to stop working completely, and the physical, emotional, and financial toll is just… heartbreaking.

To make things worse, she developed a severe infection from radiation burns, and because she’s allergic to so many medications, it’s been nearly impossible to treat. What was supposed to be a routine appointment turned into an emergency surgery. It’s been one thing after another.

She even tried to keep working by doing DoorDash, but her health just wouldn’t allow it anymore.
