Help Breanna and Kevin Through This Medical Crisis
Donation protected
My name is Melissa, and I'm here on behalf of my eldest niece, Breanna, and her husband, Kevin. These two have been through a lot during their relationship and they've pushed through it all, often by the skin of their teeth.
For the last several years, the biggest challenge has been Kevin's health. Before his struggles, Kevin was strong and vibrant, despite disabilities and back pain related to chronic illness. Then his digestive health took front seat as he became unable to keep food down and began to wither away. The change was drastic and disturbing, and the Kevin we knew began to disappear. Doctors struggled to find an answer, doing procedures that were no more than bandaids to buy him time. For a while, we feared we would lose him. But Kevin is strong and he fought back---until now.
Kevin finds himself, once again, in the hospital, desperate for answers at only 86 lbs and declining rapidly. His stomach has become paralyzed and he will require a feeding tube. At every stage of this illness, he loses more autonomy, and his caregiver and wife Breanna fights desperately to hold her family together and provide for the both of them.
She is currently working two jobs and taking every bit of overtime offered. But every financial step forward is hindered by Kevin's medical struggles. With this current emergency, she is having to take a leave from work, which puts them in an even more precarious financial situation.
I'm asking for their friends and family to donate if you're able. Take this burden off Breanna during this terrifying time so that she can focus on loving her husband through his struggle. Any little bit helps, whether $1 or $50.
We appreciate any and all help they are able to receive during this crisis. And if you find yourself unable to donate, please keep them in your thoughts and share this fundraiser with others.
Thank you,
