Breann and Scott are a homeless couple who have been together for 13 years. I’ve known them for a while, and their resilience in the face of hardship has always inspired me. Recently, they faced a series of setbacks that have made their situation even more challenging. First, they lost their keys and had their car towed. Just one week after finally recovering from that ordeal, their car was stolen—possibly by the only friends they had, another homeless couple. With nowhere else to turn, Breann and Scott left that city and are now trying to start fresh in a new place.

I want to help them get back on their feet. I know some generous mechanics who have a reliable car available for a very reasonable price. With this car, Scott will be able to get to work and start rebuilding their lives. Breann has lived with a traumatic brain injury since she was 16, which has limited her ability to work, so reliable transportation is especially important for them.
