HELP BRAZILIAN DACA APPLICANT GO TO COLLEGE

Donation protected

My name is Bianca Santi and I am a Brazilian immigrant living in South Florida. I arrived in the United States sixteen years ago, where my parents have worked hard cleaning houses and running their own small business to support my brother and me in spite of our legal status. They always taught me to value my education, so I invested myself into school to ensure their efforts paid off. I graduated from a magnet school with a 4.8 GPA and will be attending the University of Central Florida this fall.

Unfortunately, I was unable to access financial aid or scholarships like Florida BrightFutures due to my undocumented status. I was able to apply to DACA earlier this year since applications were recently reopened, but my documents were not processed in time to apply to DACA scholarships. I am still waiting to hear back from immigration.

Without any financial aid, it is impossible to afford to send me to college. My family applied for a second mortgage to help pay for my tuition, but we are unsure if we will be able to secure it. Employment opportunities are limited without a permanent legal status, but I am determined to be the first person in my family to attend college.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me realize this dream. Any donation makes a difference, no matter how small! Thank you for your kindness <3
