Hello, and my name is Brayden Walters and based on my academic achievement and demonstrated leadership potential, I have been nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) program to be held this summer, 2022, in Washington, D.C.
By attending JrNYLC, I will be prepare for the future and take the first step on a path to success in high school, college, and my future career. I will learn to become a better leader by setting clear goals, improving communication skills, embracing models for solving complex problems, and building effective teams.
My peers and l will gain confidence and practice teamwork and public speaking skills when we create our own student-led grassroots organizations in the Voices of Change project. This experience will allow me to set goals for continued personal leadership improvement and return home equipped with the tools to tackle current issues facing schools and communities today.
During the 6 days Envision program, Washington, D.C. will serve as a living classroom, providing amazing site experiences in and around our nation’s capital.
I will need to secure my space in the program by the enrollment deadline date of April 20, 2022.
