Help Brayden Make His Comeback!

Donation protected
On the morning of September 1st, 14 year old Brayden's life changed in an instant. While helping with a woodcutting project, he suffered a devastating accident that resulted in the loss of his left index finger. Brayden has been admitted to Boston Children's Hospital, where they are working to try to reattach his finger but are unsure of the outcome. Brayden and his mom, Jess, will be staying at BCH for at least a week while he receives specialized care.

Brayden is a bright and active teenager, who is set to play as a quarterback for South Portland High School this fall and plays basketball year round for Blue Wave. Athletics are a huge part of his world, and the thought of having to put them on hold during his recovery is heartbreaking for him. His determination and strength are inspiring, but the road ahead will be long and challenging.

Brayden's mom is a single parent raising three boys on her own, Brayden (14), Hudson (5), and Easton (2). With Brayden's dad no longer with us, Jess is carrying this weight alone. On top of the overwhelming stress of the accident and helping her son navigate this scary experience, she now faces the financial strain of hospital bills, travel, meals away from home, and caring for her two younger sons while staying by Brayden's side in Boston.

I'm creating this GoFundMe to help ease some of her financial burden and take some of the stress off of her plate so that she can focus on what matters most: being there for Brayden while he recovers.

Every dollar raised will go directly towards:
  • Medical expenses not covered by insurance
  • Travel, food, and lodging costs during their stay in Boston
  • Support for Hudson and Easton's care at home
  • Recovery support for Brayden in the coming weeks and months

If you are able to contribute, no matter the amount, know that it will make a meaningful difference and will mean the world to Brayden and Jess during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, just sharing this page will make such a difference!

Let's surround this family with love and support! Thank you for helping to lift Brayden and his family up in your thoughts, prayers, and generosity!
