This gofundme is to help raise funds for Brayden's family to build a deck from his back door and existing deck to their families' pool. Unfortunately, Brayden's mobility limits him from being able to enjoy his pool whenever he wants. Todd (Brayden's dad) has been carrying him to and from the pool for over a year now. Once I witnessed Todd carrying him first hand I knew I had to take action and open this gofundme!
Brayden's parents (Todd and Wendy Juzwiak) have been looking into building their deck out to help Brayden access his pool and also talking to companies about a pool lift! We would love to help them achieve this for their son!!!
While a parent is always wishing their child was young and they could carry them forever, this was heartbreaking to watch. Brayden has always loved water therapy and swimming is so good for the body but unfortunately, he does not have the same luxury most of us do of being able to walk up a pool ladder or even walk across the yard to the pool comfortably.
If you haven't met my handsome nephew Brayden Juzwiak and you would like to know more about him - Brayden is the most amazing 16-year-old young man you will ever meet. He has a heart made of pure gold! He has two younger siblings Nathan and Caroline. Brayden is a 10th grader at Churchville Chili High School. He doesn't always love school but he LOVES being part of Churchville Chili's Unified basketball team, he's a huge fan of Batman and an even bigger fan of his family! Which of course he is because- Wendy and Todd are the most incredible parents ever and continuously put their kids before everything else in the world!
Brayden was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2007 when he was just 3 years old.
Since his family received the overwhelming news of his diagnosis Brayden has never let it define him. Brayden continues to feel the impacts of DMD and struggles with mobility. Brayden's world is forever changing and to no fault of his own. This deck and lift will provide him with exercise his body needs to continue to prolong the effects of Duchene Muscular Dystrophy on his body!
We ask all of you to take a moment to Pray for Brayden, Pray for all the others with DMD, Pray for the Families, Pray for a Cure!
On behalf of Todd, Wendy, Brayden, Nathan, and Caroline - THANK YOU for sharing, Thank you for your support, Thank you for your Prayers!!!!
