Hello, my name is Brayden Staples. Thanksgiving Break this year, I will be joining a team heading to Tijuana, Mexico to build housing for families in Mexico without a place to call home. These houses will provide security and shelter for the people. We will also be lucky enough to spread the gospel to children at an orphanage, as well as preparing and serving a Thanksgiving meal for other missionaries who have been serving in Mexico and have been far from home for a long period of time.

Each person going on the trip is responsible for the expenses, $1,500 each. This includes the funds needed for materials for the houses to be built. In addition to all of that, we will also be collecting care package items for the families such as blankets, clothing, soccer balls, jump ropes, and more. I ask for your prayers for all of us heading down there, that we may bring the Lord the honor He deserves, and to open our hearts to His leading. I also ask that you pray for the families that we will serve, that God will touch their hearts and pour into their lives.

With all this, we do need your assistance in making this trip possible. If you are able and willing, I would very much appreciate financial contributions so that I may serve in Mexico on this trip. I am so grateful for this opportunity to spread the love of God to the people in Tijuana, and hopefully with your help it can happen.

Thank you so much for your consideration. I am very excited and thankful for this opportunity, as this will be my first time going on a missions trip. I feel God is leading me to serve in ways I haven’t done before and I believe this is an excellent way to serve people in need and show them Christ through that. We will be giving a report about our trip on November 25th, during both services at South Church, and we would love to have you there to come and listen to what God was able to do through our time there.
