On March 30, 2021 my sister took her son, Brayden, over to do his 6 month wellness check, in Long Beach. His dr was doing his routine check and while feeling Brayden's abdomen, he noticed a mass that required immediate attention. Eventually Brayden was admitted, they spent 2 weeks in the hospital. There was CT Scans, blood work, a biospy was done as well as taking some bone marrow to test it. It was confirmed he has cancer. The type of tumor he has is called a Neuroblastoma. Yesterday, my sister and her fiancé brought Brayden back to admit him and begin the process of his long road to recovery. Today, 04/20/2021, he is getting his port placed and as soon as the drs can access the port, they will start his chemotherapy, which will be sometime today. He has 9 months to a year, maybe longer, of treatment to do. Its going to be a long road, there is going to be a lot of back and forth between Catalina and the mainland. With your support, we can maintain his medical bills and anything other necessity that comes with this road to recovery. No amount it too small and as a family we thank you from the bottom of our heart. My sister also has a venmo, so if you would like to make a direct donation, its @Serena-Romo14.
