Help Brayden and the Blalock Family

Hello everyone, my name is Zachary Jure, and I am putting together this fundraiser on behalf of Brayden and the Blalock Family. Brian and Heather were a little reluctant to me doing this because, if you know them, you know they prefer to give love and help, rather than ask for it, but sometimes everybody needs a little love and help.

 

 

 

On late Monday evening, December 27, Brayden Smith was the victim of a violent crime causing serious damage to his organs which later lead to internal bleeding. Doctors and nurses at Loma Linda University Medical Center underwent exploratory surgery in which they had to remove parts of Brayden's large intestines and stint his right ureter. Brayden had a nasogastric tube placed due to his stomach being distended after the first 48 hours and the large intestinal swelling. Additionally, Brayden has a large incision down his stomach which is causing him unbearable pain. They do not yet know Brayden's discharge date or how long his recovery process will be, but Brayden, Brian, and Heather, are hopeful that with the right rehabilitation he will be able to play football again. 

I am asking for prayers for Brayden's pain and his lack of sleep, and Heather and Brian's lack of sleep. I am also asking every one to send strength, knowledge and wisdom to the doctors and nurses treating him, and of course ultimate healing!

Brian and Heather will be out of work for an unknown amount of time to care for Brayden as he will need them around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anything helps and is truly appreciated beyond what mere words are able to convey. ❤️
