We are reaching out to ask for your help. My nephew Brayden Tobin recently suffered an orbital fracture from getting hit in eye with a baseball. After seeing an eye doctor, they discovered he had a total retina detachment.

On April 8th , they headed down to Iowa City to the U of I Hospital were he went through 12 hours of test and scans.

On April 15th he underwent a 3 hour surgery to attach his retina. He then stayed in the hospital overnight and was allowed to go home the next day. He had to remain face down for a week. When they went to his 1 week check up, they discovered that the retina had become detached again.

ON April 29th, he underwent another surgery to reattach retina and stayed another day in the hospital.

Brayden is a very athletic, active 12 year old who is a fifth grader at JCC.  He loves wrestling, football, baseball, fishing, and being around his animals at their farm.  Nikki is also a para at JCC at Pleasantview Elementry.

He still has a long road ahead of him with healing and prayers that the retina will stay attached and he will hopefully regain his vision.

As well as Brayden's injuries, my sister Nikki is dealing with her own medical issues, which she has put off to care for Brayden. She will need to go to Rochester May 19-21 to have many tests and scans to try and get some answers.

We are asking for help to off set some of the expenses such as gas and lodging from having to go long distances for the care they both need. Also will help in all the medical bills from both of them, especially since Nikki has been off work since beginning of April to care for Brayden.
