Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to ask for support for my dog, Bravo, who has been my companion for the past four years. Bravo came into my life as a scared and shy pup. He was given to me by a friend of a friend in New Jersey who could no longer care for him. Over time, with love, patience, and consistency, Bravo transformed into the most gentle, affectionate dog you could ever meet. He’s a true lover, all kisses, cuddles, and warmth. He brings comfort to everyone around him.
Sadly, in late December, Bravo suffered a serious foot injury that caused two of his nails to rip loose, leading to one nail needing to be fully removed. During the healing process, his foot became infected. We learned that Bravo is fighting three serious bacterial infections—E. coli, Acinetobacter, and Enterococcus faecalis. He’s now on two antibiotics, trazodone to keep him calm and prevent further injury, and another medication to help his red blood cells circulate after his foot entered stages of necrosis. Despite aggressive treatment, the damage is severe, and Bravo is scheduled for a partial foot amputation up to the ankle in the next 2 weeks to save his life. This has been heartbreaking, but it’s necessary. We’re asking for continued support to help cover surgery, hospitalization, medications, and the long road of aftercare ahead. Every share, donation, and prayer truly means everything.
With gratitude,
Delilah & Bravo
