Help Brave Johnathan Battle Cancer

Johnathan is a sweet, energetic, and loving 6-year-old boy. Johnathan joined our family at 11 months old and has grown into the Kemper family along with his four brothers. Whether riding his bike, building LEGO towers, or playing Little League baseball, Johnathan's spirit has always shone brightly. Recently, our world turned upside down when Johnathan was diagnosed with cancer. Now, he faces the fight of his life, and we are reaching out for your support to help him win this battle.

Johnathan's Journey: Just a couple of weeks ago, Johnathan began having a fever and getting sick to his stomach. Within a day, he was barely able to walk or move without being doubled over in excruciating pain. What we hoped was a minor illness turned out to be a heartbreaking diagnosis. Johnathan was seen in the ED and found to have a mass in his kidney. The ED physician said they would Air Evac Johnathan to Children's hospital in St. Louis for further evaluation of the mass. After spending a week at Children's, we have confirmed the mass in his kidney is cancer. There are also three small lesions on his lungs. Moving forward, the plan is to complete another biopsy, place a port to initiate chemotherapy, and possibly radiation. Despite everything, his courage amazes us every day.
