Hello, my name is Jacques Wilson. I'm a barber at The Barber Life 314 in the city of St. Louis, MO. I'm starting a GoFundMe for one of my clients, Brantley. He's just 6 years old and is bravely battling kidney disease. Unfortunately, because of the government shutdown, his mother has been forced to pay out of pocket for Brantley's medication, which has placed a heavy financial burden on their family. I'm reaching out to our community to help support them with a few months of medication payments, hoping that the government will step up soon and provide the assistance they need.

Here's Brantley's story:

Brantley was diagnosed with enlarged kidneys at birth, which later progressed into kidney disease. The condition was initially identified when he was one year old and confirmed again at two and a half years, demonstrating a rapid progression from stage one to stage four within several months. During this period, Brantley participated in a clinical trial that modified his dialysis treatment regimen. He currently attends dialysis sessions four times weekly while continuing his education. At the outset, both kidneys exhibited functionality levels below 35%; following the clinical trial, one kidney now functions at 56% and the other at 61%. A bi-monthly payment covers 20% of his antibiotic treatment costs. Brantley, presently six years old and turning seven in November, is unable to access his medication due to the ongoing government shutdown. Efforts are actively being made to secure funding for his medicine, and additional support would be greatly appreciated.
