Help Brant recover from a Traumatic Brain Injury
Donation protected
UPDATE:
As many of you know, Brant completed his acute brain care in Indianapolis at the beginning of this month and he's now in Phases 2 & 3 of post-acute care at Frazier Rehabilitation Institute in Louisville. His cognitive skills, balance, and coordination are improving. His sense of humor is returning as he enjoys sneaking up behind his Mom to scare her. He has no memory of the accident, being in the hospital, or being in the brain injury center in Indy. Next steps are to finish a few more weeks at Frazier, see an Optical Neurologist for his blurred peripheral vision, and have the feeding tube removed from his stomach in a few weeks. The other driver, who is at fault for the accident, is underinsured, so the family genuinely appreciates the generosity of those who have donated to his Go Fund Me page, or sent him checks directly, as the funds will help cover what we know will be hefty medical bills.
ORIGINAL POST:
In case some of you don’t know me, I’m Jade, and I’m helping some of my favorite people raise money in their time of need. Shane and Crystal don’t ask for much, so sometimes they need a person like me to tell them to suck it up, and let people help, the way they are always so willing to help others.
Their son, Brant, was in a terrible accident two weeks ago. It’s been an upward struggle for them, and they still have a long way to go. The medical bills will be piling soon, and all while still trying to get Brant the care he needs, the housing they need to be close to Brant, and losing income from not being able to work.
Brant’s brain injuries and recovery are still unknown to the full extent, but he continues to show more improvement every single day, and continues to surpass the timelines doctors and nurses have laid out! But like said, it’s still going to be a long and financially draining process. Anything helps! Please help them through this.
Thank you to anyone who is willing!
