“Hope. Strength. Branson. Join us in helping him fight leukemia once more.”
Help Branson Fight Leukemia
This is not the update we hoped to share today. After 2 ½ years in remission, our brave Branson’s leukemia has returned.
What started as a lingering cough turned into something no parent ever wants to hear: doctors discovered a large mass in his chest that was pressing on his lungs and making it hard for him to breathe. We rushed him to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where the last two days have been a whirlwind of tests, procedures, and treatments.
Right now, doctors have successfully drained fluid from around his heart and started him on steroids to help shrink the mass (he prefers not to call it a tumor). Soon, he will begin a new round of chemotherapy, followed by a targeted inhibitor that will go after the specific gene mutation responsible for his type of leukemia—Undifferentiated Leukemia. This form of cancer is extremely rare and difficult to treat, with limited research available.
Through it all, Branson remains in good spirits. He is ready to face this fight again with the same courage and strength he showed before. He is truly the strongest person we know—he is a BRICE.
As you can imagine, this journey comes with overwhelming medical costs, time away from work, and travel expenses while we remain at Phoenix Children’s. We are asking for support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing Branson’s story. Every bit helps us stay focused on what matters most: helping our boy heal and giving him the best chance to beat this disease again.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for lifting up Branson and our family during this fight. Together, we believe he can overcome this. ❤️
