Thank you for visiting my page.
I never imagined I would need to create a GoFundMe, but life has taken an unexpected turn.
In June 2025, I went in for a routine screening mammogram. The results showed a questionable area in my left breast, leading to more testing. On July 10th, additional mammogram and ultrasound images revealed a hypoechoic mass with concerning features. Just a few days later, on July 14th, I underwent a needle core biopsy, which confirmed the diagnosis: invasive ductal carcinoma, estrogen and progesterone positive.
I am grateful that at this time chemotherapy is not required, but I am scheduled for a double mastectomy on September 10, 2025. Along the way, I’ve also needed an iron infusion because my bone marrow showed diminished iron.
In August, my oncologist ordered a PET scan due to concerning changes in my blood work, raising the possibility of lymphoma or leukemia. The scan revealed mild uptake in a hilar lymph node in my right lung. My immunophenotyping results have shifted since May 2025 and continue to raise questions. While we are still hopeful this may be related to my Hashimoto’s thyroid disease, we are taking things one step at a time. I continue to pray that future scans will show only inflammation and nothing more.
This journey has not been easy, but I remain positive and trust that God is in control. As my surgery approaches, emotions are running higher, yet I continue to lean on faith. I believe that once I come through this, I will be able to help others facing similar battles.
I humbly ask for your support—whether through prayer, encouragement, or financial contributions to help ease the burdens of expenses associated with reduction of income, increase expenses associated with going back and forth to the hospital, after surgery supplies and recovery.
Please also keep my family in your prayers:
For my husband, who will be my primary caretaker, as he carries the responsibility of caring for me during recovery over the next month. He remains my rock and only God knows how much he is going through because he does a good job of not letting it show.
That our son, a senior in high school, stays focused and not weighed down by worry.
That our grandchildren always know how deeply Granny loves them, even when I can’t hold or play with them for a while.
That our grown children know they are deeply loved, and that I understand everyone copes in their own way but choose a good path.
I know what it feels like to be in a dark place, but I also know there is a way out.
For my grandmother that is 89 years young and continues to be there for us all.
For all the other family members and friends that are family that are going through these emotions with us.
There is love, HOPE, and light—and I choose that over fear.
God has lifted our burdens before, and I believe He will continue to carry us now. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13
While others have told me that I don’t need to put this information on here I feel like it’s important to say I chose to work up until the week of my surgery. My surgery is on a Wednesday and I will spend Monday and Tuesday preparing myself and home. Asking for help doesn’t come easy and I struggled with an amount to put on here.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, love, and support.
