Hey all, putting this together for our friend Brandy, who has been dealing with the financial impact of tearing her ACL while playing soccer last year for Sir Cheese (our queer indoor soccer team).

Between being unable to work because of her injury and making frequent trips down to California to help her grandma recover from uterine cancer and hip surgery, Brandy's finances took a major hit last year that she's still working her way back from.

The Brandy we love is super active and has been dedicated to recovering as much as possible, but has had to step away from many of her favorite activities while she's waited to be able to schedule her surgery.

Good news: Brandy is finally getting surgery the week of Thanksgiving! While the bulk of the surgery itself is covered, there are a lot of associated costs that add up (e.g., equipment rentals, prepared food, things to make life accessible, etc.).

The goal is to help Brandy avoid taking on debt in order to get her body back to 100% and be able to focus on healing instead of stressing about her finances.
