Help Brandy Heal: Support Katie's Heart Horse

Hello everyone.

my name is Katie, I’m 20 years old freshly figuring life out outside the nest.

This is Brandy she’s a 14 year old Warm Springs reservation mustang rescued from a kill pin back in 2021. I welcomed her into my heart and life in 2022. I did most of her training myself and she has truly been my best friend and my heart horse. I got Brandy when I was at my lowest and we’ve definitely helped each-other a ton. Unfortunately Brandy somehow got hurt we still have no idea how she managed to do it but she got quite the laceration near the point of her buttock that needed stitches. She also ended up getting a large fluid build up bubble on her thigh that worked it’s way down to her gaskin, that had to be drained. The vet informed us that the impact from whatever happened actually caused her muscle to deteriorate. As you can imagine she’s wracked up quite the vet bill and honestly at one of the worst times. And will have a pretty decent amount of recovery time.

I’m not one to ask for help especially not for things like this but unfortunately at this time her and I could really use the help.
