Help Brandon's Family with Legal Costs

You are reading this because our family is having to seek help in unforeseen circumstances. Brandon, a 27-year-old father of two, devoted husband, and independent working mechanic is currently being incarcerated for charges that, to both us and himself, still remain largely unclear. Charges have changed radically over the past 72 hours, where at first he was likely to only have a few thousand dollars bond, he now is looking at bond meeting that of a small house. As such, our hope of getting him home, if even temporarily, went from somewhat feasible to nearly impossible for his small family. We are now in an uphill battle to not only get him home to be with his family and to continue to work and bring in income—now not just for his family, but to get funds to cover his bail—but to also obtain money for a lawyer that will fight for him to ensure he stands the best chance of being restored to normalcy, and that he be guaranteed the best chance of fair representation.

Brandon does not have a prior criminal record, nor does he have run-ins with the law. As such, he and his family are mortified at what lays in store for him, as well as the effects his absence will have on their lives. He works hard all day, every day, to provide for his two children and his wife who stays at home to care for their young ones, with his only day of rest being Sundays so he can devote time to his family. For the past several months, his income has gone directly to not only providing for his family, but to the vast repairs of a home he purchased with the hopes of having it livable shortly after purchase—but rising cost of materials has dragged this goal into what now seems like a far-off reality, with the property currently having less than a quarter of the repairs completed. He uses his only vehicle as transportation for his family, as well as a means to get to his customers who call him on a daily basis for trusted repair work. He works tirelessly to provide for his family so that his wife can be at home with their children, instead of having to rely on family—or to pay someone else—to care for and educate them, as they continue to get closer and closer to being of age to attend school. He and his family have put a lot of work into keeping themselves afloat, and he has continuously pushed forward so they can finally move into their own space, and be once again independent. We tell you all this not to gain undue sympathy, but to illustrate for you the picture of a man who clearly has a lot to lose, and who would not put his family in the position to watch everything they have sacrificed so much for crumble through their fingers.

As it stands, we are having to look at the possibility of selling what few items of value they possess, which includes selling the property which they have been working so hard to make into a livable home for their family, just to get legal representation and get him out of jail so he can be with his family and be in an environment where he can continue to provide, as well as figure out where he stands and how he can fight the charges against him.

All we want is to get Brandon home, have him with his family again, and to put our best foot forward to figure out his best chance at coming through this with the least amount of damage to himself and his family.
