Our son (Brandon Bishop) and daughter in law (Alora Bishop NE: Cody) lives changed drastically in just a few short hours on Friday August 7, 2026.
Their house, the contents, trailers, vehicles, and tools were all lost and destroyed by the fast-moving Bald Range Fire. It was our daughter in laws childhood home located on Fish Lake Road (Faulder Area) just outside Summerland, British Columbia.
The stress of the loss, is magnified, as the newly minted parents, welcomed their first child (Airia Raven) 8 short weeks ago.
From the moment they found out about the fire to evacuating, they had a short 30–40 minute window to grab what they could. Departing as the fire was literally coming down the back of the mountain and just a few hundred feet from the house.
Thus, the need for your help. With less the 40 minutes to evacuate, they were left with little opportunity to gather the essentials to meet day to day living requirements. Our hope is to raise between $25-$30,000 dollars for them to replace the lost items for the baby, as they had just set up the nursery.
A few clothing items for themselves in the short term. Tools for Brandon, he is a framer by trade and if you know anything about trades people, they have to supply their own hand tools when hired for jobs. Without his tools he can’t return to work, which just compounds the situation.
And finally, funds to help them through standard day to day needs (groceries, medicine, etc.) in the short term while they work with insurance companies to get themselves re-established.
They would like to say thank you advance for any assistance you can provide them.
Thank you,
