I almost died.
Hi, my name is Brandon. A few days ago, my life changed forever. I was rushed to a private hospital in Guadalajara, Mexico after collapsing from a thrombosis of the brain — a severe blood clot that blocked blood flow to my brain.
It triggered a seizure and left me fighting for my life. My doctors told me plainly: I almost didn’t make it.
I have been in the hospital under constant observation, going through scans, treatments, and medications to save my life and prevent another clot. Because I am in a private hospital, every single cost — from emergency care to scans, medicines, and follow-up treatment — is out-of-pocket.
I cannot fly home yet. My recovery is projected to take at least 8 weeks before it will be safe for me to travel back to the U.S. This means I must stay in Mexico during that entire time while paying for my recovery costs and basic living expenses.

Why my goal is $6,000
When I first posted my fundraiser, I set the goal lower, thinking it would be enough. But after reviewing my actual hospital bills, medications, and the fact that I’ll be here for at least two months before I can safely fly home, I realized my original goal was too low.
Hospital bills & medical care: $3,000+
Medications, scans, & follow-up tests: $1,000+
Living expenses for 8 weeks of recovery: $1,500+
✈ Safe travel home once cleared: $500+

Any donation — big or small — will help me cover my medical bills and keep me safe until I can return home.
If you can’t donate, please share this page so it can reach more people.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me through the most frightening and uncertain time of my life. ❤️
