Help Brandon McHaffie Heal After Hit-and-Run
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Megan and I am setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of our beloved friend Brandon McHaffie.
On Tuesday, September 10th, Brandon was involved in a devastating hit-and-run accident on his motorcycle around 5:30 am in Greeley, CO. He was headed to work when a black Tahoe suddenly pulled out in front of him, causing Brandon to lock up his brakes and crash into the vehicle. The driver of the Tahoe sped off and left him there. A nearby man who saw the bike witnessed Brandon collapse and dialed 911 (we are eternally grateful for him). Paramedics arrived at the scene and took him to the nearest hospital.
He sustained 4 shattered ribs, a broken collarbone, and a punctured lung. His broken bones will be pieced together with metal plates, and his lung currently has a tube inside to aid with air and the blood draining from the cavity. He also has severe road rash on his right leg, left shin, both hands, and multiple sprains in his left shoulder. He has since undergone surgery and will be hospitalized for at least a week to monitor recovery and breathing until his lung cavity is healed.
Brandon is the sole provider for his family. He will be unable to work for quite some time and has an extremely long road to recovery ahead of him. The funds will go towards his medical expenses and bills. Any help is greatly appreciated, and even a share goes a long way. Keep Brandon and his family in your prayers and hug your loved ones a little tighter as life can change in an instant.
