My name is Brandon Buck and for the past couple of months, I've had some major health issues come about. First, I found out I am now a diabetic, which I could have lived with and made the needed changes on my own. However, one full week after I got home from the hospital after this first scare where my sugar was 1200 and I almost didn't pull through, I woke up at home one morning to my left foot being completely and totally numb. I cannot move my toes or foot at all, not up, not down, nothing. A condition known as drop foot. My foot just dangles around like as if it were asleep but worse. When this first happened, I tried to get up and walk on it and I rolled my already bad torn left ligament, so I have that on top of all this. I've lost 65 pounds in a matter of 2 months. I'm not the type of person to ask for help, but I'm to the point where I either reach out for help or I lose my house. I can't allow that to happen after all my dad and I did to keep this place through the 8 years of his heart/health issues. After losing him and my best friend Mark last year, I didn't think things could get worse. Now, I've spent 3 of the last 4 weeks almost in the hospital or stuck in my bed. I'm embarrassed to have to come here with this, but I know people who know me will understand, at least. I have done a lot in my life to help other people and maybe that will come full circle in a time I'm the one desperately in need of help. I have backed property taxes due at the end of the month, as well as all the other bills. Whether you donate or not, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers!! I do hard labor doing tree work and have absolutely no way I can go to work safely when I can't even walk without crutches! I don't mean to complain, I know people have it worse than me, but I never dreamed I'd find myself in such a scary position. I'm terrified this could be like this the rest of my life. Hopefully, eventually, I can get disability or something.
