My name is Kelsey Hansen, and I am Brandon Johnson's sister. Brandon will be undergoing leg amputation below the knee very soon after developing Necrotizing Fasciitis in his limb. This is a serious disease that spread quickly, leaving amputation the only option in order to control it.

Brandon was admitted into the hospital Sunday and transferred by ambulance last night to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Brandon's journey will initially start with recovery after the procedure, pain management, and help with the emotional & psychological challenges.

It will be an extensive recovery period, which may involve weeks or months of wound healing, physical therapy, and learning to adapt to a new reality.

We, as a family, are starting this campaign in order to help with the current and ongoing medical expenses he will have and to help take care of everyday life expenses he has at home. He will be out of work for an unknown amount of time and any donation will be utilized to help him focus on his recovery.

He has a long road ahead and a lot of unknowns, but we have faith that things will be okay.
