Those of you who know Brandon, he is a very private person. I am doing this with his permission. Over the weekend of March 15, 2025 (his birthday), Brandon K. Boyce, an American Sign Language Interpreter, child of deaf adults (CODA) and a staunch supporter and advocate of his communities, was gruesomely assaulted while defending his mother, whom had just recently been released from the hospital dealing with complications due to congestive heart failure. During the domestic violence attack, Brandon sustained significant damage to his left eye including potentially permanent loss of vision. His mother, who has been in and out of the hospital for the last few weeks, is currently on life support.

While he is healing, Brandon is understandably devastated and overwhelmed with having face this new reality, as there are still many obstacles he must face on his road to recovery.
