Hey, I’m Brandon, but most of you probably knew that. I have had a few friends reach out asking if I had a GoFundMe to help support with my wrist surgery. So here I am. Growing up in an Asian household, I have a hard time asking for help and receiving it, but I'm learning to be better at accepting it.

So here we are. I broke my wrist 7 weeks ago and have been in a cast, dealing with the medical bills for the cast, X-rays, and CAT scans. I thought it was healing, but it turns out it isn’t showing any healing in the last 3 weeks, so the orthopedic surgeon feels like surgery is the best chance to ensure healing. I have already had to drop a few thousand, and more bills may be coming after. I also haven’t been able to work on top of film being so slow this year. So, bills have been on credit cards, and I'm living off them. I had to turn down a few calls for short work already and probably will for a few weeks after surgery, depending on how healing goes. As a lighting programmer, my hands are my biggest asset. So, I scheduled surgery on my birthday, the 12th, to start the process as quickly as possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, but I also understand life is hard for so many right now, in film and in general. This will help go towards medical bills and give me a buffer as I heal. This is hard to ask for any form of help, but I know community is important, and as much as I love helping others, I know others want to help too, so I'm giving this a try.
