Help Brandon Heal and Rebuild After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Dirk, and I hope everybody had a nice Easter holiday weekend.
Unfortunately, one of my dear friends, Brandon, and his son couldn't agree less.
Brandon took his son on an afternoon ride on his motorcycle through Newark, Ohio. It was a nice and warm day, and if you ride a motorcycle, you know it couldn't be better. Brandon and his son enjoyed the ride on East Main Street, passing the intersection to Cedar Street, where suddenly the driver of a Jeep tried to enter the Speedway gas station on the corner. Not seeing the motorcycle or seeing it too late, the driver froze in the middle of the road, stopped the car, and Brandon had no chance to escape the crash. Both Brandon and his son hit the vehicle head-on, the motorcycle flipping over them. Brandon went headfirst into the vehicle, splitting his head from his nose to the back of his head open. His son luckily got away with a sprained ankle, scratches, and a deep shock. Brandon was immediately transported to Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he is having head surgery today. Thoughts and prayers to my friend that everything goes well. Here comes the twist: the driver of the vehicle has no driver's license or insurance. No arrest was made. Despite the injury Brandon has, he is communicating and aware of what happened. We are opening this GoFundMe for him because he is going to miss a huge amount of work time and being with his family, spending a lot of time in the hospital and doctor's offices to recover. The motorcycle is a total loss as well. Any support to pay the bills and get him back to health he and his family appreciate very much.
At this point, we would like to thank you all for your help, thoughts, and prayers for Brandon.
For any questions, please contact us here, and we will answer in a timely manner.
To all riding a motorcycle, please be safe.
Thank you,
Dirk
Update: Brandons surgery went well.
