Dear family and friends,

As many of you know, I've been hard at work to become a dental hygienist. I'm currently in my third term at San Joaquin Valley College in Ontario, and I am on track to graduate from the program in April of 2025, but I've run into an issue with my financial aid!

I am in need of money to fund the remainder of my tuition because Sallie Mae has denied my 2nd "year." While I thought Sallie Mae was covering the entire tuition, the reality is that they only covered the first "academic year." My school only recognizes Sallie Mae for direct student loans, and I have exhausted all other financial options.

I chose this profession because it checked all of the boxes for me. It is a career that allows me to help people and take an active role in improving their health and their lives. It's a career that offers me the necessary free time to continue to coach my son Carter's sports teams and continue to build and strengthen my relationships. It also will provide financial stability, which is something I'm working hard to attain so that I can give my family the life they deserve.

Today, I'm putting my pride aside to ask for help from my friends and family to complete the program I've worked so hard in for the last 10 months. I tried everything I could before asking, but this is what I have to do.
