Help with celebration of life expenses for Kim

The following spring 2021 she started having troubling symptoms, and a bone marrow biopsy showed the cancer had spread to her bone marrow. Now she had Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, and this time the cancer was HER2 positive. She had surgery to get another port catheter in place and started immunotherapy infusions every 3 weeks (Herceptin and Perjeta).
In May of 2021 she married the love of her life, Josiah, at a beautiful ceremony near our home.
In June of 2021, she started the second round of chemo for the new diagnosis, while continuing the immunotherapy every 3 weeks. She finished chemo in October of 2021 and a PET scan showed no detectible cancer. She still had to do immunotherapy infusions every 3 weeks, since metastatic cancer is never cured, only treated.
In February of 2022, she had several superficial skin cysts biopsied, which came back that the breast cancer had metastasized again.
In March of 2022, the very next month, she woke up to the right side of her face paralyzed and immediately went to the hospital. She had a brain MRI that showed the cancer was in the lining of her brain and in her spinal fluid. She spent almost a week in the hospital while they performed numerous tests and scans, and then started brain radiation.
There are two things that have kept her strong during the past 2 ½ years. Her hope rests in the God of the Bible and in Jesus as her Savior. She has accepted the gift of salvation through Jesus and wants His name to be honored and glorified through all her trials. She rests in Him and His plan for her life, and she knows heaven awaits her. If you don’t personally know Jesus and His love for you, get to know Him.
The second thing that has kept her strong is the sacrificial love of her husband. They are a young couple, but have been through more than most couples go through in a lifetime. These trials have brought them close, and we’re thankful they share an amazing love.
Any money donated will be to help in the following areas, the first being medical bills. The second would be alternative treatments (which are not covered by insurance) and would include moving expenses to another state to get treatment. The third would be to support them if Josiah needs to stop working to care for Kim full time.
You can alternatively give directly through PayPal or Venmo to Josiah by contacting him directly.
