My name is Brandon Shackelford. I'm a 45-year roofer. My fiancée, Erica Branch, 47, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure 2 years ago.

This afternoon, tragedy struck at the house we live at and rent at 260 Myrtle Ave, Newark, Ohio. Our house caught fire due to faulty electrical wiring issues, no fault of ours. We don't have any children. We foster and rescue dogs and cats that need a loving home. We have 2 dogs and numerous cats. The Red Cross was generous enough to help us with shelter for a few nights.

Due to smoke damage, we have lost everything. I'm a full-time employee at a local roofing company. Due to the season being winter, hours are very slow.

We are asking for anything that could help get our family with clothes, blankets, pet food, first month, last month, and security deposit into a home. Thank you and God bless.
