On January 3, 2026 Brando was attacked by a coyote while playing at LACC with his friend Lenny. The coyote picked him up and ran before dropping him after Lenny's dad ran after them and saved him. Now Brando is in the ER with multiple broken ribs, bites up his back, and some internal bleeding. Brando is expected to make a full recovery! He's a very tough little guy.
Shannon adopted Brando when he was a puppy and they have been in love ever since. Brando is the calmest, sweetest, and softest Chihuahua mix that you'll ever meet. He gets along with everyone and has the best energy!
Everyone who knows Shannon knows she is a healer through movement and breath, body and soul. Let's come together and help as her companion and sweet fur baby of 8 years needs some healing.
Our goal is $25,000. This is because his emergency care alone so far has been estimated at $12,000, with additional X-rays, follow-ups, and medications expected over the coming weeks. Veterinary ER costs can change quickly, so this goal helps ensure that Brando gets the full treatment he needs to come home soon without delays.
Update on Brando
Brando has been home for almost a week now and had his first hospital check-up yesterday. He’s looking really good. Bandages are off, stitches will be removed next Sunday, his chest is clear with no fluid, and now it’s mostly about rest, meds, and letting his ribs heal. If all continues well, he should be fully good to go in a few months.
Thank you again for the support you offered during such a scary experience — financially, energetically, and through so much love and care. His recovery costs have been lower than initially expected due to how smoothly he’s healing, and that has brought a huge amount of relief. We’re significantly closer to the goal than we were, though we still have a ways to go (about $10K remaining), and reaching it would make a big difference.
As a gesture of gratitude and connection, you’re warmly invited to join an online breathwork session this Wednesday, January 14th at 5:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM CT / 8:30 PM ET. There is no obligation at all — it’s simply an offering, and it would be lovely to have you there if you’re able.
If you can’t make it, please know how deeply appreciated you are. Your generosity and support have meant more than words can say.
With so much gratitude,
Shannon & Brando
