As hard as this is for me, I'm asking for help. In 2020 I had a hole in my heart. My Dr. Placed a septal occluder over the hole through my femoral artery which caused a large hematoma. That hematoma caused an infection in my blood that ate away at my hip bone. This caused a avascular necrosis. I have my orthopedic specialist appointment on Oct. 15th. At that point we will be scheduling an appointment for my hip replacement. My insurance will cover the procedure unfortunately it will not cover my recovery downtime. My recovery time is anywhere between 6 to 8 weeks. My rent and bills run about 1500.00 per month. I need assistance in covering these expenses before I can make the appointment for the hip replacement. If I can't secure these funds I cannot schedule the surgery. I have my bestie coming to stay and help me for the 1st week after the procedure and I've arranged to borrow a walker, crutches and a shower chair from another friend. I was also made aware that my physical therapy will not be covered so that will cost at least 40.00 per visit. I'm asking for help to raise this money to move forward without pain and to be able to go back to work fulltime and not be on light duty. If you would like to help I would be forever grateful but if you can't help, I understand and still love you. As I stated in the beginning, it is really hard to ask for help but I'm out of options. If you find this in bad taste, I'm sorry, but please just keep your opinion to yourself because when I push that button to start this fundraiser, I am doing it with tears and embarrassment. Please don't judge my character. I would never ask for help unless it was a last resort. I believe in paying it forward so if anyone out there is struggling and I can help, believe me I will.
