Hi, my name is Brandi, and I’m a hardworking mother of two who recently faced a sudden and frightening medical emergency. What started as a severe reaction to a prescribed medication quickly became a crisis — I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and have been receiving inpatient care for several days now.

This was completely unexpected. Like so many Americans, I don’t have health insurance, and the bills from the ambulance transport, emergency care, and ongoing hospitalization are adding up fast. I’m doing everything I can to focus on recovering, but the financial weight of this situation is overwhelming.

When I’m not working hard to provide for my kids, I give back to my community — volunteering at a local animal rescue and a homeless shelter. Taking care of others is just part of who I am. Right now, though, I need to ask my community to take care of me.

Any amount helps — whether it’s $5 or $500. Every dollar goes directly toward the medical bills piling up during my recovery. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with your network means just as much.
