Help Brandi Get Back on Her Feet For Christmas

Hi everyone! The purpose of this fundraiser is to help the family of my sweet friends, Brandi & Kevin Peake during their current time of need. Many of you may know and recognize Brandi as the former receptionist of Roxie Hart and Ideation salons in Camden for many years. She had just left her position at the salon to begin a new job with Kershaw Health this September when she suffered from a significant heart episode which required emergency care, a long hospital stay in Columbia, and continuous monitoring & treatment to this day. While she has been thankful to return to work very recently, she is nowhere near where she should be healthwise - and the bills just keep coming from when she was hospitalized, not working, and unfortunately, not yet covered by her health insurance or even short term disability.

Meanwhile, her husband, Kevin, also had to take off from his job back in August in order to care for his elderly father, who had a sudden aortic aneurysm which required a difficult emergency surgery. Kevin is returning to work soon; however, their medical bills continue to mount for both Brandi and Kevin's father’s care in their home. This coupled with a daughter in college and rising full costs as they drive to appointment after appointment has left this hard working couple stretched to the breaking point just when they least need more stress in their lives.

As someone who recently dealt with similar health and financial struggles, I started this fundraiser for Brandi and Kevin because I just felt led to show their family the same kindness I was shown during a similar time of need last year. I think it is so important that we continue to help one another stay afloat whenever we can - especially during the holidays. Whether it’s $5 or $50, anything will help them and I know for a fact that the thought behind any amount will do so much to help them have a brighter, less bill-burdened Christmas together this year.
