Help Brandi with medical expenses

I am Brandi’s godmother and I’m trying to help her with some relief with her medical expenses. Brandi was diagnosed with TS at a young age which affected her kidneys. Her doctors informed her that within the next 10 years, she would need a transplant. At the beginning of August, Brandi was working at University Hospital in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit when she began feeling sick and had to leave. She made an appointment with her doctor, who ran tests and told her she needed a new kidney as soon as possible. While going through testing and setting up a date for surgery, she went on dialysis three times a week for five weeks.

 

This is where the story turns into a fairytale..... her and Mike, who I like to refer to him as her ‘Prince Charming’, started dating in 10th grade. They both graduated high school and attended Cleveland State University together, where Brandi received her Bachelor of Nursing and Mike received his Masters in Business. When Mike found out Brandi needed a kidney, he went through testing to see if he was a match. He was a perfect match for her, in many ways. They’ve been dating for nine years and the love they have for each other is undeniable. On September 20th, they went into the hospital to have their transplant. Both are now at home resting and doing well. While Brandi is home recovering, she just started online classes to get her Masters degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Mike will soon be returning to work at the Cleveland Clinic.

 

Mike will never know how much he means to our family by giving Brandi the gift of life. She means the world to us, he is such a blessing and we will be forever grateful.

Brandi is still covered under her parents insurance, the funds from the GoFundMe will be used to cover costs not paid by her insurance and also to cover expensive anti-rejection medicine she will need to take for the rest of her life.
