Help Brian Get a Special Adapted Chair

Hi, My name is Margaret Dempster & I’m the wife of Brian Dempster who had a major stroke on the 21st of October 2020. The stroke has left him unable to do anything for himself & needs round the clock care & attention! He spent 5 months in The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital without any visitation from family members, this also infringed on his memory & physical well being as there was no stimulation to help in the first stages of his stroke. Since March he has been in Darnley Court Nursing Home, he is continuously confined to his bed as there is no adapted chair to allow him to sit in the t.v. area/ outdoors to be around others. Even though Brian has had a major stroke, is paralysed on his right hand side & has limited strength in his left hand side amongst other deliberating aspects of health issues & disabilities an adapted chair would take him out of his room & outside with longer visits from family members, also sitting with other residents which allows for more social interaction, which in turn may help with his speech etc; It is heartbreaking to see him constantly bed bound with most care & interaction coming from the staff & now short visits from family. Obviously I want nothing but the best for Brian & I know him having a specially adapted chair would be more beneficial for him than being constantly stuck in a room bed bound. Any donation no matter how small, will be appreciated by myself our children & family members who always have Brian’s best interest at heart. Many heartfelt thanks in advance to all who help Brian.
