Help Brady Russell's Family in Crisis
Donation protected
A massive explosion that occurred while my cousin’s 30-year-old son, Brady Russell, was doing his job cleaning a tank battery resulted in blunt force trauma and severe burns over 70% of his body. Brady, who is the father of two small children, has been in a medically induced coma since being transported to the hospital. Tragically, it remains to be seen whether he can be saved, and the odds are not in his favor. His parents must remain nearby for the foreseeable future to answer questions, fill out paperwork, and make decisions. While he is being treated at the best hospital for burn victims in Texas, it is not near his nor his parents' home, which creates a financial burden for the family. His parents, Heath and Dari, have already been there a few days since the accident happened, and they can't financially manage remaining there without some help. And they have no choice but to remain in place, as they are the only people with the authority to make important decisions. So, we are coming to you, asking that we all come together, donating whatever small amount we can each afford, so that as a whole we can help keep this family afloat. The emotional price they are paying right now is already far too great, and money is the last thing they should have to worry about.
Edit:
Thank you all for your generous donations! You have done exactly what communities and families should do for one another. You have lifted up a family in crisis and made sure that they don’t have to worry about the basic necessities of life for a little while. You didn’t have to, but you did, and that is extraordinarily selfless and compassionate.
In case it is unclear, the donated funds are being used to secure a nightly hotel room for Dari and Heath, as well as covering their daily meals, and other incidental expenses they may encounter along the way. Thank you doesn’t cover it, but from the entire extended family, whose hearts now carry one less worry, we offer the only thing we have to spare: our eternal gratitude.
