Help Brady Achieve Top Surgery This Summer

Hi, my name is Brady-- I’m a trans second-year veterinary student, and I am trying to get top surgery this summer. The surgery will allow me to live my most authentic self and will help me combat my gender dysphoria.

Vet school is expensive, and unfortunately, so is top surgery. I normally work two jobs in the summer plus I work as much as I can during the semester. In addition to the surgery itself being expensive, I also will be unable to work for at least a month (likely closer to 2 or 3) as I recover from surgery. This summer is really the only available time I have to get the surgery, as next summer I will be beginning my clinical rotations and won’t be able to take the necessary time off. Especially with current attempts to limit access gender-affirming care it seems more pressing for me to get this procedure done sooner rather than later.

My out-of-pocket costs for the surgery will be $5,000 (even with insurance), so any help towards covering that fee so my savings can go towards being out of work for a few months would be incredible.
