On Sunday, May 10th, Bradley Mitchell was in a horrific accident that required emergency helicopter transportation to the nearest trauma center, emergency surgery, and medical sedation.
He was handling a chainsaw when there was a mishap and his neck was struck. His trachea was ripped open and he lost a
significant amount of blood. His wife, Anuja, found him and was able to get paramdeics to the scene quickly where they brought in a medivac helicopter to transport him from Littleton Massachuesetts to the Lahey trauma center in Burlington. He was induced into a coma to recieve a muscle replacement in his neck and be placed on life saving care. He is currently recovering from this emergency surgery and his family has flown in from around the country to be there with him.
We are not sure what insurance will cover yet. The costs of a helicopter evacuation, emergency surgery, many days in the ICU, and even last minute flights for his family to be with him are incredibly expensive and takes a toll on his family's ability to care for him. Not to mention he is a talented carpenter on top of a loving father and husband and repaired everything in the house himself. He is not going to be able to take care of the house and do critical repairs for months, and his family can’t do all of the maintenance. Your donation will go directly towards supporting this family as they navigate this unexpected tragedy. Thank you for your kindness.
