My name is Bradley Gauthier. I'm a student at the University of North Texas, and last year I was invited to perform with the Bluecoats. After an exciting audition season, I'm ecstatic to announce that I've been invited to be a performer with the Bluecoats again.
The Bluecoats are a drum and bugle corps (DCI) organization. This is basically hyper-competitive marching band. The Bluecoats are one of the most prestigious groups in recent memory, finishing in the top 2 of the entire world championship bracket since 2019. The audition process is intense but rewarding, only allowing around 25 performers in my instrument out of the almost 200 that auditioned. Unfortunately, this prestigious organization costs a lot of money as they are all completely non-profit, only surviving off of member tuition. This year for the Bluecoats, my tuition is $6,650 plus a $200 flight fee to California when we begin our tour of competitions around the United States.
One of the only reasons I was able to march last year was due to the support of y'all, my family, friends, mutuals, coworkers, and so on. With your support, I was able to make last year a blast and completely pay off my tuition without putting myself or my parents under the stress of debt or late payments.
Any support, no matter the amount, is monumental. Even if you have nothing to give, simply sharing this fundraiser on your social media could do more than you know.
I will be giving every donation a personal thank you note to show my gratitude for every contribution.
If you've read this far, I truly thank you for giving me the time of day, and I'm grateful for every ounce of support I receive. Thank you all!
