My name is Bradley, and I’m 59 years old living on my own. I’ve always worked hard to support myself, and for the past few years, I’ve been delivering for DoorDash and UberEats to make ends meet. Lately, though, it’s been getting harder. My 2012 Kia Optima is in rough shape—it has an exhaust leak, the brake rotors are worn, and the engine is leaking oil. Every time I fix one thing, something else goes wrong, and my delivery earnings just aren’t enough to keep up with the repairs.
On top of the car troubles, I have serious back issues that require major surgery. I’ve been trying to get disability for nearly ten years, but I keep getting denied. I’m doing my best to stay independent and keep working, but if my car breaks down for good, I’ll lose my only source of income and may have to move back in with my kids. That’s something I’m trying hard to avoid.
I know there are others out there facing tough times, and it’s not easy to ask for help. But I’m reaching out because I’m running out of options. If you’re able to help, even a little, it would mean the world to me. Your support would help me get a reliable car so I can keep working and stay on my feet while I wait for disability. Thank you for reading my story and for any kindness you can offer.
