Help Bradford Greer Recover

We all know Brad. He is one of the finest people I have ever met, and we have known each other now for over 45 years. He is always been someone who would step in to help me and I am sure that is true for many, if not all, of you. Some of you know him from attending Thanksgiving with him, some from performing in a play or a concert with him. Some of you will remember him fondly from high school or from working with him in one of his many jobs/careers. However you first met him, I think you will agree he is not an easy man to forget. That personality! That voice!! That laugh!!! I shamelessly admit that whenever I was directing the high school kids in a comedy, I made damn sure he was in the audience, because that wonderful laugh could light up the night.
Brad is in a tough spot right now. He has carpal tunnel and Ulnar Nerve damage in both hands, severe enough that he is having an operation, first one and then the other. Both of these operations could keep him for out of work for as much as four weeks for each operation. He also has “Essential Tremors” which cause his fingers to tremble involuntarily. This has compromised his ability to type accurately or control a mouse.
He has used up his sick leave and vacation time from the serious illness he had this spring. He really doesn’t know how long he will be disabled from the operations or how much it will correct the tremors. And, on top of everything, his landlord raised the rent and the unit is up for sale and he may have to move.
Brad really needs our help. He has worked out an arrangement to start early retirement in the fall and will transition to find a part time job to make up the difference in income once he recovers. You can just imagine the stress.
I am hoping we can raise a decent amount of money to give him financial security for three months. I am asking that you think of all the special times you have spent with him, and dig deep. This a person who is so worth helping. Not only would the money make such a difference at this crucial time, I’m sure you would have his unending gratitude- and maybe even some cake or lemon squares.
