Help Braden and Family Cover Medical Costs
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Hailey. On October 5th, my little brother Braden was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street to catch the school bus. Luckily, our brother Devon was nearby and saw the accident happen and was able to get help quickly and be there for him. As a result of the accident, Braden has injured nearly every part of his body but thankfully, is stable and responsive. He knows who everyone is and largely what had happened.
We are still in the early stages of what is expected to be a lengthy and costly recovery process but since he is young, we are told he won't need surgery at the moment unless things don't heal correctly down the line. He unfortunately has a cracked spine near the top of his neck, a broken arm, a broken collarbone, a fractured pelvis, a few broken toes, a concussion, and is badly bruised and scraped up all over. We are thankful the injuries weren't worse then they are. I'm sadly not allowed to visit him in the ICU due to covid restrictions in hospitals, despite driving 5 hours from my home in NY at the drop of a dime to come see him and help my family, so I want to do what I can to help out since I cannot be with him in the room.
We are asking for any help possible, as we are expecting massive costs considering he won't be out of the hospital for who knows how long, plus the costs that will come with recovery treatment over these next several months. Even if all you can do is share this with friends and family, everything is highly appreciated. We are setting the goal at $20,000 for the moment until we have a better idea of expected costs, so any amount helps no matter how big or small.
Braden is a smart and caring young boy with a super bright future that deserves the world and although you may not personally know him, please take my word for it. Braden was born when I was 5 years old and I played a big part in raising him since then and I cannot stress what a joy he is to everyone around him and what an amazing boy he has grown to be. He is insanely strong so I know that if we can get through these next several months and recover, he will continue to do great things and make everyone proud. Please considering helping in any way that you can. I'm also attaching links to my Paypal, Venmo, and CashApp if anyone prefers to donate that way.
Thank you all so much in advance.
