Give Brad a Chance to Walk Again
In 2018, Brad answered the call to serve his community by joining the East Side Volunteer Fire Department. He dedicated himself to helping others in their time of need. But in October 2021, everything changed. Brad was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.
Life threw Brad a devastating challenge—but he never gave up.
With unwavering support from his wife, Patty, Brad has fought back every step of the way. He's found new ways to live, adapt, and thrive. He custom-built a motorcycle to meet his new needs and still rides today. He even modified a riding lawn mower so he could continue to mow his own lawn—proof that his determination knows no bounds.
Brad’s dream of walking again is within reach thanks to exoskeletal robotic legs—a life-changing technology that could restore his mobility. But he needs your help to get there.
Before his accident, Brad was training for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, an event honoring fallen firefighters. That dream never left him. And with robotic legs, it's one he could achieve.
He’s not waiting for change—he’s working for it. Brad has joined a specialized gym for paralyzed individuals, where he has lost significant weight to meet the physical requirements for robotic leg use. He attends the gym faithfully, pushes himself every day, and continues to accomplish amazing things.
Brad also completed chaplain training so he can remain a part of the fire department team, continuing to support his fellow firefighters spiritually and emotionally.
He’s done everything in his power to reclaim his independence.
Now, imagine the possibilities if we can help give Brad the ability to stand, walk, and climb again. The fire in him never went out—it just needs a spark.
Let’s help Brad rise.
