Hi, I am Brad Kerr’s sister, Shawn. As most of you know, Brad had a tragic accident in April that resulted in a spinal cord injury. He has been in Gaylord hospital for rehab for over four months. Brad is wheelchair-bound at this time & has very limited use of his hands. While in the hospital he can only have two visitors due to Covid restrictions. I would like to get him an iPad and iPhone. He would like to be able to communicate with the outside world without being at the mercy of the hospital staff. He can’t even change the channel on TV without calling for assistance. If he has the iPad set up right in front of him he could watch anything he wants by voice command. This will also be of use when he is able to come home, we are going to have it set up so he can turn his lights on/off and lock doors through an app. He has been making steady progress but will still be in rehab for a while. I will need to get heavy duty cases for both as things gets dropped constantly. Also need extra long charging cords to reach the plugs in his hospital room. Friends have asked what they can do for him so this will make life a bit easier for Brad. Anything left over will go directly to his needs. Still looking for a better phone holder, the ones I bought don’t work well at all. We appreciate any help.
