Hi, my name is Ben Smith, and I hope to raise a bit of money to help my best friend Brad and his young family through a difficult time.

Brad sustained a back injury playing football in 2016 and since then, has had numerous operations and procedures to try and resolve the issue. Still, unfortunately, he has found himself now at a point where undertaking his everyday work as a builder is nearly impossible as he is constantly in considerable pain. At the moment, there isn't a definite solution for the problems he is suffering with. He is having to seriously consider if he will be able to continue doing the work he loves but also that provides an income to support his family, this is understandably a lot of pressure for Brad, and I would love to be able to take away some of this worry for him by supporting him financially while he isn't able to work.

I am planning to run two half marathons, the first one at the end of March will be in Bridport and the second will be the Bath half marathon which Brad was going to run but now cannot. I can run, but this will still be a big challenge for me and if you are able to I am asking you to please sponsor me to complete these races and raise some much needed money to help Brad, Gracie and their daughter Maevry.
